Agents & governance

Continuity and agency need explicit authority boundaries.

Agents in an environment

Agent definitions combine model configuration, prompts, tools, memory, and scope. Work may start through conversation, an authorized schedule, or a workflow. Available tools and capabilities depend on the effective identity and permissions.

The Vesper family

Vesper is an agent family within Atreyu, with specialized roles for continuity, reflection, observation, and governance. It is one use of the platform rather than a synonym for every Atreyu deployment.

From observation to application

The documented governance sequence moves through intake, tidying, archiving, discovery, council review, authorized application, and audit. Each stage has a different responsibility. Receiving a request does not authorize a mutation.

Current behavior and proposals

Full-agent persona routing is the documented live architecture. Modular embodiment is a design direction; the presence of proposal tools or supporting tables does not establish that modular prompt composition is active.

Evidence before completion

A recommendation, accepted job, source change, deployment, and verified runtime outcome are different states. This distinction is central to reliable agent work: report the state actually reached, preserve failed attempts, and avoid replaying completed effects.
